So it's for video conferencing, Skype, softphones, dictation, listening to audio files (Pandora, Spotify etc and of course your own music files) or video. And of course the headset itself is Bluetooth so your mobile phone will also connect.

The Active Noise Cancelling helps you manage background noise allowing you to focus on the task at hand (or your music/call).
