Plantronics Voyager Pro HD Bluetooth Headset

Three generations in and not much has changed externally for the Voyager Pro. It’s not a case of ‘it aint broke so why fix it’ but more a case of ‘it works great let’s see how much more technology we can fit into it’.

Bringing the best of the previous generations and making it vastly more intelligent is the theme of the new Voyager PRO HD.  The first Bluetooth ever to incorporate Smart Sensor technology, the Voyager PRO HD knows when you’re wearing it and there are some fantastic advantages to be gained from this.

Firstly, it knows when you have taken off your headset and routes all calls to your handset. Want to take a call with the headset but aren’t wearing it? No problem, simply pick up the headset and it will automatically answer the call. Secondly, no more accidental dialing by bumping your headset when it’s in a drawer or in your pocket. As soon as you take the headset off, the call button locks. Yep, Plantronics has learnt a few things about Bluetooth headsets over the years.

As in previous models, you can stream your music, GPS directions, podcasts etc only now you can do in HD... nice.

A few more features that are definitely worthy of a mention: Voice alerts (talk time, volume, connection and more), On-screen battery meter for iPhone and Android and the MyHeadset app for Android phones.

All in all, the already great Voyager Pro has been morphed into the superlative Voyager PRO HD to truly become a headset to be reckoned with.

  I'm much delighted with its superb noise cancellation, ease of pairing, durability, and comfort to wear for 2 hours! The sound volume is a bit low in a noisy environment and had to push it into my ear, but it sounds perfect in my office or car. Unfortunately, it doesn't pair with my GPS -a feature which I would have much appreciated, as it would allow me to navigate using the voice command of my GPS.

  I bought this to replace my worn out vpro out of all the Bluetooth headsets I've tried the pro series has been the best! The hd is no exception I drive a truck and this does fantastic at blocking out truck noise. I highly recommend this product

  Very nice. Long battery life and comfort. I don't need a custom earpiece to hear or keep it in my ear. Wish I could change the three push call button that dials vocalyst to another number. Have a 4s and won't use vocalyst. Also, you can mute the headset which my other headset you have to do it on the phone.

  The new HD had me smiling ear to ear when testing out the new smart sensor features. I'm a DJ so music quality is important to me when wearing a bluetooth. The HD's bluetooth audio quality is the best I have ever used.

  Overall this is a great headset. I love the media streaming feature and its very comfortable. My only complaint is the in-call volume is low and in an environment that has even a little ambient noise is unusable.
