Plantronics Savor M1100
The Savor M1100 is one of the latest releases in the Bluetooth range from Plantronics, and we are highly impessed by it.
Whilst sporting some decidely good looks the Savor M1100 still has enough design quirks to set it apart from the competition, but what is really impressive about this headset is the number of features Plantronics has squeezed into the Savor's tiny 9 gram frame.
Firstly, there's 3 mics - which may seem like overkill, but between the three they intelligently isolate your voice without having to have a not-so-pleasant-looking long boom mic to hover just above your mouth. The Audio IQ3 technology then processes the sound from all 3, filters out the background noise and transmits your voice nice and clearly. This is amongst the most advanced noice cancellation technology currently available and it has won the Savor a CES Innovations Honoree Award.
With A2DP you can listen to music, stream GPS directions, listen to podcasts etc. MultiPoint technology means it can connect to more than one bluetooth device at once i.e. phone and laptop. There's heaps of onboard call controls but with Voice Commands you can do a lot of things without touching anything. For example, you can tell the headset to answer or ignore a call, you can ask if the headset is connected or ask how the battery is going etc. It will reply promply and politely with Voice Alerts, which will also warn you if you stray too far from your phone or if the battery will soon run out.
The tradeoff for these features in a tiny headset is that the battery talk time is only 4 hours. To combat this, there is a dedicated on/off switch to conserve energy.
The Savor M1100 is an pint-sized feat of design and engineering that's won a lot of adulation, and we're confident it is the headset that you've been waiting for.
